Domicile: Candidates seeking admission to medical or dental colleges of West Bengal must be domicile of West Bengal and accordingly submission of Domicile certificate in prescribed format from competent authority is mandatory.
The domicile of West Bengal is treated for those candidates who are either
Residing in West Bengal continuously for at least last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2015
Academic qualifications: Candidate must have passed the 10+2/Higher Secondary School Examination/equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in the 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the subjects (40% for SC/ST Candidates, 45% OBC-A, OBC-B Candidates). And, candidates must have studied English as a subject and secured 30% marks in 10+2 level.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Medical, commonly known as WBJEE Medical
will be conducted on May 17, 2016 for admissions to 85% MBBS and BDS
seats in State and Central Government Medical and Dental Colleges by the
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE).
Last year, WBJEE Medical entrance exam was held for as many as 2450 MBBS and BDS seats in 22 Government and Private College of West Bengal. Out of these 22 Medical colleges, 16 are Government and 5 are private colleges.

Note: After
examination/admission or during any stage thereof, it is found on
scrutiny that an applicant is under age or otherwise in eligible,
his/her application for admission will be cancelled outright even if
he/she appeared in WBJEE Medical 2016 and secured a position in the
merit list.
