AIPVT 2013 Eligibility



The Candidate must follow the following criteria to eligible for Admission to the All India Pre Veterinary Test 2013 :
Nationality
  1. Applicant must belong to an Indian National. Jammu & Kashmir provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 have not been extended to the State of Jammu & Kashmir. So, candidates from that State will not be eligible to appear in the AIPVT 2013 Examination until & unless they submit an Affidavit in enclosed Proforma on Non–Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate / First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that.
  2. They are not eligible to compete for B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats in the State of Jammu & Kashmir and hence, not eligible to seek admission in Veterinary Colleges of Jammu & Kashmir and they are not domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
Age
  1. The Candidate or Applicant has attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2013. Candidates attaining 17 years on 1st of January, 2013 or later will not be eligible to appear at the Entrance examination.
Educational Qualification
  1. The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English as a core course recommended by the NCERT after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as given by the National Committee on Education.
  2. The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as there subject of study.
  3. Students belonging to the General Category must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 10+2 /Intermediate Science Examination. Further, they are also required to pass individually in different subjects.
  4. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST or other special category (OBC) of students as specified by the Government, there will be 10% less marks required for AIPVT admission than that for General Category.
Note: Candidate who is taking the qualifying examination in the 2013 as to the AIPVT exam 2013, or whose result is awaited, may also apply but candidate but they have to submit their result and other documentary proof as or before 30th June, 2013 during Counseling.
