Armed Forces Medical Services will admit candidates for the Post Graduate seats in various institutes for the session starting in 2016 on the basis of AIPGMEE-2016. AFMC Pune PG Medical Admission Notice 2016 through AIPGMEE has been announced.

Important Dates

Availability of Information Bulletin on the Website: 04th December 2015
Online Application Registration Date: 09th December to 29th December 2015
Last Date for Online Submission of Applications: 02nd January 2016
Last Date for Generation of Challan: 03rd January 2016
Last Date for Deposit of Bank Challan form at SBI: 05th January 2016
Merit List (Priority wise III-V): One month following declaration of results by NBE
AFMS Online Counseling: March-May 2016 (Priority wise)

Number of Seats

The tentative number of seats available in each speciality for the 2016 session is attached as Appx-A. After fulfilling the AFMS requirements, remaining seats, if any will be available to Priority III candidates (Para Mil/other Govt. of India sponsored candidates), Ex-SSC AMC Officers, Civilian doctors in that order
The number of seats in AFMS institutions available in a particular year for admission may not tally with seats depicted on MCI website. It is also likely that no seat may be available for some of the prioritized categories

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria shall be applicable:
(a) Admission to the PG Medical courses at AFMS institutions, subject to the priorities laid down in the prospectus is open to graduates of medical colleges recognized by MCI and who have registered themselves as Registered Medical Practitioners with any State Medical Council recognized by MCI
Students who have completed/are completing internship by 31st March 2016 are eligible to apply
(b) The candidate must be a citizen of India
(c) Foreign students sponsored by the Govt. & approved by the DGAFMS should have passed their MBBS/Equivalent Exam (Authority - Govt. of India)
(d) Maximum permissible age for Priority-V (civilian candidates) will be 35 years as on 30 April 2016
(e) A candidate shall not be eligible if he/she has cancelled or failed to report for admission in the past, which has resulted in lapse of a seat
(f) A candidate who is already pursuing any PG course shall not be eligible for admission to PG Course
(g) The number of candidates to be admitted in any discipline during the academic session 2016-19 will be determined by the number of post-graduate teachers available, the student-teacher ratio and any other criteria laid down by the MCI & affiliated University from time to time
(h) All candidates, irrespective of Priority, once admitted to a particular degree course on conclusion of counseling process will not be permitted to change over to another subject

Age Criteria

Maximum permissible age for civilian candidates (Priority V Candidates) shall be 35 years as on 30th April 2016
