Online applications are invited from the candidates interested in appearing in the Entrance Test for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses 2016 in the Government Medical Colleges of Srinagar and Jammu, SKIMS-Srinagar & ASCOMS-Jammu and MDS Courses-2016 in the Govt. Dental College, Srinagar. The notification for Jammu & Kashmir Board JAKBOPEE Entrance Test 2016 for MD MS MDS has been announced. 

The candidates must be State Subjects of Jammu & Kashmir and eligible to appear in the Entrance Test under relevant rules

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must:

Be a permanent resident of J&K State;

Possess MBBS/BDS Degree or its equivalent Degree recognized by the University of Kashmir/Jammu and the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India;

Be registered with the MCI/DCI/State Medical Council/ State Dental Council;

Have completed satisfactorily one-year pre-registration compulsory rotatory internship in a duly recognized institution as laid down by the University of Jammu/Kashmir for registration as a Medical/Dental Graduate

Note

The candidates, who are likely to complete their compulsory rotatory internship and registration from MCI/DCI/State Medical/Dental Council by or before his/her turn of counselling, can also appear in the Entrance Test; however, such candidates cannot be allowed to participate in the counselling, if they fail to produce prescribed certificate to this effect);

The candidate, who mentions any reserved category in the online Application Form but either does not possess a valid category certificate or possesses it but fails to submit it along with the Application Form, shall be considered in open merit, if he/she is found otherwise eligible

Selection Procedure

The candidates must be permanent residents of the State of Jammu and Kashmir and eligible to appear in the Entrance Test under relevant rules and Regulations

The selection of the candidates will be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Rules, 2014, JK Reservation Act, 2004 JK Reservation Rules, 2005, MCI & DCI Regulations and Guidelines as contained in the Electronic Information Brochure-2016

Entrance Test Pattern

Centres of Entrance Test: The Entrance Test shall be held at the Centres as may constituted by the BOPEE in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only

The Centres shall be allotted by the BOPEE and the information for the same shall be provided to the candidates on the admit card /or separately

The test centre once allotted shall not be changed

Syllabus: MD /MS /PG Diploma Courses; the syllabus contents for the Entrance Test for admission to MD/MS and other Diploma Courses shall be the latest syllabus of MBBS in vogue in the Universities of Jammu and Kashmir

Duration of Question Papers: There shall be two papers of two hours duration each PG Medical Degree and Diploma Courses. Each question paper shall contain 150 marks

Paper-I: Pre-clinical and Para-clinical, Subject Code-01

Paper-II: Clinical, Subject Code-02

Time Duration: 2 hours each

The Applications have to be submitted online only through BOPEE Websites www.jakbopee.org or www.jakbopee.net from 21st December 2015 to 15th January 2016

The Payment of Rs.1600/- as fee is to be made also online through the HDFC Integrated Payment gateway, which can be used to make payment with any national Credit Card / Debit Card issued by any national bank
