AIPGMEE 2016 Computer Based Exam - Important Points

AIPGMEE is now organised as the Computer Based Test. From November 2013, the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) has changed from a paper and pencil test to a computer-based test (CBT). 
It comprises of an Online Examination consisting of mainly MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). The question panel is clearly indicated on the computer screen which helps the candidates to easily understand the category and questions.

AIPGMEE - Important Points

  • A candidate is required to read the questions on a computer screen and choose an answer by using a mouse to click on the appropriate option.
  • A candidate will have to test take the exam on a pre-assigned workstation, in the testing venue chosen by him/her during the time of registration.
  • The exam duration is 3 hours and 30 Minutes and will be conducted in a single section. There will also be an additional 15-minute tutorial prior to the start of the exam.
  • There will be a total of 300 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). The exam will only contain multiple choice questions, each with four (4) options and only one (1) correct response.
  • The exam will include all subjects taught during the MBBS course including preclinical, para-clinical and clinical.
  • Candidates will also need to accept a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before beginning the exam.
  • Candidates are advised to make use of the Demo exam on the AIPGMEE website www.nbe.gov.in/AIPGMEE to familiarize themselves with the navigation and functionality of the actual exam. A 15-minute tutorial will also be available prior to the start of the actual exam.
