MGPGI Puducherry PG (MDS) Course Dental Entrance Exam (PGDEE) 2016

Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Puducherry Domiciles and NRI/NRI Sponsored/ Foreign students for admission to I MDS (Postgraduate) Courses through Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination 2016, in Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Pondicherry for the academic year 2016-17. The notification for MGPGI Puducherry PG Dental Entrance Exam PGDEE 2016 has been announced.

Application & Information Bulletin to be downloaded from Website: 14th December 2015
Last Date for Receipt of Filled in Application: 08th January 2016 (05.30 pm)
Date of Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam: 24th January 2016 (09.00 am to 12.00 noon)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are completing their Internship not later than 31st March 2016 are eligible to apply
An applicant seeking admission under Puducherry Domiciles to the Postgraduate Courses (MDS) should be an Indian National and a domicile /resident of Puducherry
Candidates should have passed BDS degree (the qualifying examination) of any Indian University recognized by the UGC as well as the Dental Council of India and the Pondicherry Central University and must have completed one year of compulsory rotatory internship in all the dental departments
Candidates should ensure that the BDS degree awarded to them is recognized by the UGC, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. If any discrepancy found, the candidature will automatically stand cancelled
Candidates who are completing their internship not later than 31st March 2016 also be eligible to apply

Selection Procedure

Admission to I MDS Course is based on the marks obtained in the PGDEE-2016 and subject to further orders, if any, passed by appropriate authorities / Hon’ble Supreme Court of India
A separate merit list will be prepared for the candidates appearing under NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign Students quota

Application Procedure

Application Fee for Puducherry Domiciles (a) General/MBC/OBC Category Rs.2500/-; or (b) SC Category Rs.750/-; and For NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign Students Rs.5000/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars
The candidates can apply in the application form downloadable at http://mgpgi.puducherry.gov.in from 14th December 2015 together with the prescribed fee by a crossed Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, payable at Pondicherry
Money Orders/Postal Orders/cheques etc will not be accepted
